The National Young Farmers Coalition is thrilled to welcome Deepa Iyer, author of Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection as our speaker for the 2022 Virtual Network Keynote.
In our lives and as part of movements and organizations, many of us play different roles in pursuit of equity, shared liberation, inclusion, and justice. Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed, confused, or ineffective as we reach for our goals. The Social Change Ecosystem is a framework that can anchor and guide your work. In this interactive session, participants will identify guiding values, map their roles, assess their ecosystems, and develop sustainability plans.

She conducts trainings, uplifts narratives through her Solidarity Is This podcast, and facilitates solidarity strategy for cohorts and networks. Previously, she served as Executive Director of South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) for a decade, and held positions at Race Forward, the US Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, and the Asian American Justice Center. She also serves on the advisory council of the Emergent FundShe is the author of We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim, and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial Future
